Children’s Photography

When Catalina’s mom first emailed me she told me that her little girl was 18 months old and she had taken far fewer pictures of her than she would have hoped.  I hear this so often!  I say it over and over but time flies when you have kids!  I feel so honored to be able to capture these special images for this sweet mom and daughter.

When we chatted over the phone we talked about being able to capture Catalina’s personality in photographs.  She said that she wanted Catalina to be able to look back at these photos and see how happy she was and how much her mom loved her.

On top of the candid photos, Candace wanted the photos to be creative and unique.  I had so much fun coming up with some of these props.  I had been wanting to do a “glamping” (glamorous camping) setup for a while so I figured this was the perfect time to try it!  

I always send my clients a sneak peek shortly after their session.  I sent her the first image you see below and this is what Candace had to say “Wow, I think that is the sweetest, most adorable, most amazing picture I’ve ever seen.  I’m glad she’s so happy, and you are right about the picture illustrating our relationship; I love that it’s so natural and that I’m not looking at the camera. I can’t wait to see the rest of them!”  Sigh….I have such an amazing job!

It was so easy to see how much they love each other and I think it resonates in the pictures.  I know they will grow to have a very special mother daughter relationship.
