Lifestyle Newborn Session

As you probably know by now, I love lifestyle newborn sessions.  I love seeing the nurseries that mom and dad have put so much time and energy into.  I also like how diverse the gallery ends up.  I feel like a lifestyle newborn session really tells the story of what it is like to bring home this new baby you’ve been anxiously waiting for.  Since I was lucky enough to take Emily’s maternity pictures in the fall, I already knew that they would be amazing parents.  They seem like one of the most genuinely happy couples I’ve met.  I think Emily laughed and smiled our entire maternity session!

Sweet Isabella is the first newborn I have photographed that actually arrived on her due date without any extra help from the doctor!  She was also probably the most alert newborn that I have had the privilege of photographing.  It seemed that every time I tried to move her, she would wake up!  Since Emily and Marc opted for the lifestyle newborn session, this wasn’t a problem as we were able to get a lot of beautiful pictures around their house when she was awake.  Eventually, she gave up and finally fell asleep!

She definitely looks more like Marc with her strawberry blonde hair.  Isabella’s older “sister” Sugar Cookie even got to be in the photos!  I would really like to know what Sugar Cookie was thinking when she was staring at me from the bed!

Since Isabella is enrolled in one of my Baby Plans I’ll get to see and photograph her every three months!  I feel like we are already off to an amazing start between the stunning maternity session and this beautiful lifestyle newborn session.  I can’t wait to see what her first year collection looks like next winter!
