Baby Photography
This gallery makes baby photography look really easy. Full disclosure, Amy is one of my dearest friends. She and I lived next door to each other in our freshman dorm and ended up being roommates all four years. We were also sorority sisters and bridesmaids in each other’s weddings. Needless to say, I couldn’t wait to meet Everett. Luckily, I was able to spend some time with them on our last trip up to Ohio.
The first part of our session took place shortly after a light afternoon rain had cleared up so the light was perfect. Amy brought the adorable straw hat that her sister Heather had given Everett. He really hammed it up for the camera by pulling it in front of his face and playing with it. He has the cutest little smile. I love gummy baby smiles!
The next day I met them at their house to get pictures of their little family in the nursery and backyard. One of my favorite things to photograph in babies this age is their attempts to eat their toes. It’s just so cute!
Everett has a lot of stuffed animals and Amy had picked out a popular photo on Pinterest to try so we lined him up with his animals in the living room. To put our own spin on it, since Amy and I were Chi Omegas and our symbol was the owl, we dressed Everett up as a little owl sitting amongst his stuffed friends. I just love that he put his “wing” around the little bear next to him.
We convinced Matt to hop in the pictures too once we headed outside! I didn’t realize how much Everett resembled Matt until I was editing the pictures. Too cute!
It was so great to finally meet Everett and see Amy as a mom. I can’t wait until we see each other again in May!
Enjoy!
