Charlotte Maternity Photography
A cotton field right outside of Charlotte on a gorgeous late fall afternoon was a dreamy location for maternity photos! When Emily and I first started discussing locations and ideas for a maternity session she thought she might have a connection to a cotton field. I am pretty sure my heart skipped a beat! After getting the green light from the farmer we were crossing our fingers for good weather. Luckily, Mother Nature gave her blessing with a stunning late afternoon sunset.
I feel like there was something very symbolic about having a maternity session in the cotton fields. The cotton boll (I learned a new term) seemed so pure and soft, kind of like a newborn baby.
The camera really loved Emily and Marc. It was really hard for me to narrow down what to show them. Emily came with a lot of great ideas too! I love it when my clients are excited about having their pictures taken!
I had a wonderful time getting to know Emily and Marc and their dog Sugar Cookie. They are such wonderful people and know that their little girl will be so lucky to have them as parents. Emily has a contagious smile and laugh…and she laughs a lot! I am pretty sure she giggled through most of the session.
I feel like the last collage below really tells a lot about their relationship and who they are. Emily is a minister so prayer is a really important part of their marriage. She said that the image with their heads together reminded her of when she and Marc pray together. Finally, the last picture includes a large pecan tree. Emily and Marc had an outdoor wedding and there were a number of pictures of them in front of a large pecan tree. I think it is really special that they now have a wedding picture and maternity photos in front of this large, strong and beautiful tree.
Luckily, they signed up for one of my Baby Plans so we all will get to see a lot of them and their beautiful little girl!
Enjoy!
